Production of apple clonal rootstocks is necessary for enhancing performance of apple cultivar. This depends on availability of a simple and convenient propagation approach. In this study, the effects of three concentrations of Indole-3- butryic acid (IBA) and two cutting positioning (Upright and Inverted) on rooting, callusing, total root numbers and length of five apple rootstocks (MM106, M26, M9, B9 and Azayesh) was studied using factorial arrangement in completely randomized design. Results showed that there were significant differences among the different treatments and rootstocks. Mean comparisons showed that IBA 2500 ppm in combination with inverted positioning on M26 led to the highest percentage of rooting (58.42 %) as compared to control with upright positioning on M26 (3.27 %). This treatment also resulted in 50-100 percent higher root numbers and length. M26 and MM106 had higher rooting, root numbers and length.
